WELCOME TO GSS KIDS PROJECT!
GSS Kids Project is the project-based programs for K-6 students (4-12 years old), and organized by volunteers and college students. The long-term curriculum supports children's identity development positively through various cultural events and oversea tours.
Our Mission & Concept
Children are playful, want to explore new things, and are curious to meet new people. They know how to enjoy everyday life and how to make the world better more than we do in their own way. We support children's identity development positively so they can be themselves and enjoy the adventures of this world.

Our History
GLOBAL STUDY SUPPORT (GSS) is a non-profit organization, based in Tokyo, established in 2009. Since then, we have shared many great experiences with children parents, volunteers and GSS staffs! We keep our basic concept which created in 2009, and conduct new programs based on an educational concept of Positive Identity Development (POSID)*.
Our goal is simple: to cultivate the joy of making friends around the world.
We believe that international friendships can contribute to world peace. For that, we assist children to find their own ways to make a difference through our various programs.

Our Past Programs
Intercultural Program:
Collaborating with foreign embassies of Fiji, Latvia, Peru, Poland, Thailand, Sweden and more, and with international students from over the world, children had great opportunities to learn many different cultures through lectures, cultural activities and so on. Japanese Cultural Program: In Tokyo and Kyoto, children experienced traditional cultures through special lectures by Japanese masters of Kabuki, Nou, Sado (Tea Ceremony), Zen, and Bushido (Sprits of Samurai). Oversea Tours: Children visited Saipan, Guam and Fiji, and enjoyed cultural exchanges with local children beyond language barriers. Also, they experienced home-staying, sports camps and summer camps in Oregon, USA. Leadership Program: Children learned about leadership from professionals such as a diplomat, a TV anchorperson, a medical doctor, and an economy analyst, who work internationally. Seminars & Workshop for Parents/Teachers: We organized educational seminars for parents in Tokyo and other cities. Also, we were invited to a teacher training program and learned together about education in a cultural diversity. We always appreciate for all volunteer staffs, teachers, guest lecturers, and parents who have supported our activities! |
